Believers Primary Worries

Believers Primary Worries

Scripture: MATTHEW 6:25-34

Focus: St. Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

REFLECTION

I’d like to explore this unusual subject by offering a special illustration titled THE KINGDOMS. Permit me to define the term “Kingdom” as a King who controls or is the owner of a domain or territory. Although it might not exactly match your definition, that is what I was thinking.

I’m also aware that there are other Kingdoms that we could consider, but for the sake of today’s lesson, I’d like to keep things to just two.

1- The Kingdom of this world

2- The Kingdom of God

Furthermore, you must concur with me that governments rule these Kingdoms if you have studied them.

The governments of the Kingdom of this world include those of the Prime Minister, the President, the Governor, the Kings, and the Queens.

A Supreme Being, God the Almighty, the Omnipotent, the Omniscient, and the Omnipresent, rules over the Kingdom of God.

Let’s examine what these Kingdoms need considering our topic instead.

– The Kingdom of this world requires you worry about- food, water, and shelter/clothing (Matthew 6:25).

– The Kingdom of God says the contrary- Do not worry about these things……

Good friends, I’ve noticed that the things that were removed from the list of our daily prayers—food, water, and shelter/clothing—which are essentials for the kingdom of this world—are, ironically, the prayers we specifically concentrate on each day.

What Then Should We Pray or Worry About?

The only two prayer points which I consider as the believers main concerns or worries are:

– The Kingdom of God and

– His righteousness

Verse 33 of the Bible gives us encouragement, saying that believers should seek first the kingdom of God and make sure they do it righteously (in the proper manner). After that, you will have access to everything else you might require, including food, water, shelter, clothing, and so on.

Beloved, I don’t know what you might be trusting God for or what you might be facing in life. But I’m also aware that, despite our daily struggles to pay our bills and get by in life, it’s not always easy. Although it is crucial that we pray for access to food, clean water, and clothing, the Bible advises us to put God’s Kingdom first and to seek it in the proper manner. If you are carrying a heavy load, I implore you to cast it off your shoulders and call on Jesus to come and lighten your load right there and then. JESUS, my dearly beloved, is waiting right this second.

PRAYER:

Father; please, teach us how to seek your Kingdom first and its righteousness. Guide us to do it rightly and with enthusiasm. May every other thing be added unto us when we have obeyed, Amen.
