Don’t Settle in Shallow Waters(do not become a shallow Christian)

Psalms 107:23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters.

Psalms 107:24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.

As a practical Marine Engineer with many years of experience, I have worked on numerous vessels, including passenger, security, cargo, LPG, and NLNG ships. I know from experience that sailors prefer conducting serious business in deep waters. I’ve spent days and weeks inside the ship in the middle of nowhere, right at the ocean, just to drill for genuine LPFO or crude oil.

Let those who sail think about and worship the Lord. On the choppy ocean, sailors conduct their business and observe deliverances that are incomprehensible to others. How appropriate it is to pray currently! This may serve as a reminder of the terrors, conscience-wrenching suffering, and difficult deep scenes that many Christians’ experiences throughout their lives. But in response to their cries, the Lord calms their storm and makes their trials end in joy. The experience of being cold, facing storms, and drifting, rolling, and pitching during storms is the most fascinating aspect of sailing.

What then is my point from today’s Scripture?

Dear Friends, the lesson you should take away from our foundational scripture today is to never settle in shallow waters in anything you do in life, whether it be secular or religious pursuits; otherwise, you won’t be respected. The late Dr. MYLES MUNROE advised people who wanted to succeed in life to seek value rather than success. Your employer probably doesn’t pay you based on your accomplishments but rather on your value (what you are worth). Try to conduct business in “deep waters” by becoming an authority in your current field. Go deep with God, my friends, because you can only see the wonders of God in deep waters.
