God’s Extensive Mercy

 Scripture; Lamentation 3:22-23.

22- It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.

23- They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.

I will begin by sharing this lyric as a song and from the scripture.  The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. Your mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, new every morning: great is your faithfulness, O Lord, great is your faithfulness!

Now! Lamentation reminds us of the importance not only of mourning over our sin but of asking the Lord for His forgiveness when we fail Him.

Furthermore, the explains that- “It means complete, be concluded, be gone, be finished, be accomplished, or come to an end. This word carries with it a finality. But in the meaning of Lamentations 3:22-23, there’s a never in front of it. In other words, God’s mercy toward you will never finish, be concluded, or come to and end. It will never fail.”

God’s mercies are also fresh each morning when we wake up. This serves yet another example of how limitless God’s mercy is. No matter how frequently you rely on God’s mercy, there will still be more for you tomorrow. This is not a free pass out of hell that we can take advantage of. It’s not a free pass to sin in any way we please. That fails to grasp the significance of Lamentation 3:22–23. Instead, this is a chance for us to turn back to God even after we make a mistake. God’s mercy won’t run out on us, so we don’t need to be concerned. Every morning, God shows mercy. Verse 23’s concluding clause, meanwhile, brings the entire passage together. Not because we are faithful, but because God is, we are shown compassion and mercy. We are able to benefit from his mercies because of his commitment to keeping his word.

Here are 5 ways I have discovered over the years on how to receive God’s mercies every day.

1- Through Faith: Hebrews 11:1

2- With Prayer: 1 Thessalonian 5:16-18

3- By Being Still: Psalm 46:10

4- Through Remembering:

5- By Focusing

We must comprehend this and put these principles into daily practice. Furthermore, God’s mercies are fresh for you each morning, no matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been. You can always count on his unwavering love. He has provided a route back to him so that you can experience his love, joy, and peace for yourself.

Finally, I want you to take a moment to think back on everything that has happened to you in the past. You’ll come to understand that you narrowly avoided harm, mishaps, and loss numerous times. If you think about the close friend or relative of yours who passed away, don’t you think YOU would have died instead of that FELLOW?

Wow!! It is because of the LORD’s mercies; never could it have been because of your strength, devotion to God, or righteousness; never. Those mercies are new every morning, according to verse 23. They are therefore limitless, and each day has its mercy.

Why not give thanks to God and take advantage of his daily mercy to live instead of relying on men? Today, I want to encourage you to take advantage of the daily mercies that our Lord JESUS has given you, and let your daily words be, “Great is thy faithfulness.”
