Scripture: Leviticus 17:11

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

According to Leviticus 17:11, it’s a celebration of His body being given, and His blood being shed. It’s something we should never forget: He gave His life for us to have life. In order to atone for all our sins, His blood was shed.

Right now! I’d like to go into further detail about the significance of the blood, highlighting a few points below and providing some biblical examples.

1.Blood was created to carry life.

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and DRINK HIS BLOOD, YE HAVE NO LIFE IN YOU”

John 6:53

Blood is a red liquid that contains oxygen and gives everything it comes into contact with life. The blood of Jesus carries eternal life everywhere it goes, just as human blood carries life to every part of the body. Life-giving oxygen is carried everywhere by blood, and toxic carbon dioxide is removed.

2.The Blood gives life because it can reach every part of the body-Revelation 7:9, 13-14

The blood of Jesus Christ can reach every single member of the body of Christ, just as human blood, by its very nature, is fluid and can reach every part of the body.

Life is given by the blood because it binds the body together. Vital organs such as the heart and lungs are united with the rest of the body through it. All parts of the body are connected to the head and to each other by the blood that flows throughout, just as our human blood ties the entire body together. Everyone can have a connection to God, the head, through the blood of Jesus.

3.The blood carries life because it has the ability to carry nourishment-John 6:54-55

Life-giving protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamin, and mineral molecules are found in blood. It makes sense that life is in the blood! Everyone who partakes of Jesus’ flesh and blood will be granted eternal life!

4.The blood gives life because it has the ability to cleanse you regularly-1 John 1:7,9.

The blood of Jesus is a sin-removing liquid that is flowing from Calvary’s cross to the whole world.

5.The blood gives life because it has the ability to purge and to sanctify-Hebrews 13:11-13

Poisonous and dangerous sins, attitudes, and stains are removed from our lives by the blood of Jesus. Through the removal of poisons from your life, the blood of Jesus keeps you safe from death. The only thing that saves you from hell and eternal death is the blood of Jesus.

6.The blood gives life because it destroys diseases-Revelation 12:10-11

Blood is a red liquid that contains platelets, which are unique cells that help injured body parts heal. Hemlock cures. The blood of Jesus promotes the healing of our wounds in the same way that platelets and other clotting factors in blood help to form clots and plug wounds. We are delivered from our horrible sins by the blood of Jesus, and we are also given the motivation to forgive others and get over our resentment.

Finally, the blood of Jesus offers you victory over both spiritual and physical illnesses. Through the blood of Jesus, spiritual illnesses like bitterness, envy, hatred, and insecurity can be cured.

Dear Lord! Please, help us to overcome all spiritual diseases through the blood of Jesus. We receive that cleansing power of the blood you have freely giving to us.

Please share…
