Keys to Victory Over the Voice of the Flesh-2

Keys to Victory Over the Voice of the Flesh-2

Scripture: Romans 8:6

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Reflection.

Hello, I’m happy you could be here today. Today, we’d like to talk about the five keys and examine their advantages and disadvantages. I’d like to concentrate on comprehending what it means to walk both in the flesh and in the spirit for the purpose of this topic.

Your desires and emotions are expressed by the voice of your flesh. The flesh always speaks when you have certain feelings and desires. It is extremely dangerous to follow the flesh. You will become a spiritual failure if you give in to your cravings for food, rest, and sexual gratification.

And based on our text, we can conclude that a spiritual person is one who develops to the point of being able to recognize when their flesh is speaking to them or influencing them. According to Jesus, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak” (Matthew 26:41). The flesh is prone to making bad decisions. You are constantly being influenced to take the easiest path.

It is true that if you accomplish difficult tasks, you will advance in your career. On the other hand, if you do things that are nice and easy, you won’t advance because many people will want to do easy jobs but end up making less money or a salary that can’t support their needs. Sleep is what the flesh wants for you. Do not attend those all-night prayer meetings, your flesh will tell you.

More importantly, many young men should be aware that their desire for relationships and marriage is a result of their fleshly desires. Young men are frequently persuaded to marry by their flesh rather than the spirit. I learned the following about the flesh from workingpreacher.org: “The “flesh” here refers to a way of living, a reality, a cosmos that is dominated by death (verse 6). It does not refer to the skin of our bodies. Paul views the “flesh” as a force that coexists with sin and death. According to verses 6 and 7, the ‘Flesh’ exists to bring about death and hostility toward God. The “Flesh” aims to enslave people to a way of life that is entirely based on hatred of the God of life and love and has everything to do with death.

Paul also aids his listeners in realizing that they have been set free from the “flesh” because they are “in Christ” and do not need to live lives that are oriented toward death and away from God. People are freed from the “flesh” and allowed to live in the Spirit because of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection as well as the fact that they are living “in Christ.”

We must keep in mind that the voice of the flesh would always influence our spirit to make bad decisions and take the path of least resistance. It is crucial to keep your flesh in check, as the apostle Paul advised in 1 Corinthians 9:27. Friends, you can only achieve this by allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and renew your minds. Hope this was helpful.

Prayer.

Oh Lord, please help us so that we can see the wonderful things that come from these teachings. Even when we don’t want to, we always give in to our flesh. In the name of Jesus, Amen, may our Soul always submit to the voice of the Spirit and may we be guided by it.
