Six Practices of Christian Leadership

Six Practices of Christian Leadership.

Scripture: Nehemiah 1,2,3,4, &5.

 Reflection:

I shared an important topic recently on “The Art of Hearing,” which has sub sections that deals with how to be in God’s perfect will? I mentioned that most people find themselves in God’s imperfect will and are comfortable in there believing that is God’s perfect will for them but end up realizing too late when they get so deep in it that it seems impossible to get out.

One of the powerful teachings of Nehemiah I found, is how much you can accomplish when you align yourself with the will and plan of God. Nehemiah and his followers do what seems to be the impossible because they are doing what God has called them to do. You don’t have to rebuild a wall to do the will of God.

For instance, preparing daily digest for over 3years now, and more consistently this year 2023 gives be an assurance that it is what God has called me to do and more. At first, it seems impossible, but it keeps getting better by the day. And if I may ask, what is that thing God has placed in your heart to do this year? Do you find it impossible to begin or do you believe the dream or vision is too big for you to handle? I would encourage you ask brother Nehemiah how he did it anyways.

Nehemiah obtained all his achievements despite opposition and conspiracy from Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem the Arab by simply following these six characteristics of Christian Leadership below.

Hello friends, here are the six practices of Christian Leadership that Nehemiah portrayed and was diligent in all. My prayer today is that these character traits will be part of us as we reflect on them and practice them daily to becoming good leaders.

1- Growing a Deeper Relationship with God (Man of prayer)- Nehemiah 4:7-9.

2- Developing Godly Character (Humility, Compassion, Courage, Generous, integrity, &Responsiveness)- Nehemiah 5-17-18.

3- Discerning Personal Calling- Ephesians 2:10.

4- Growing Deep Communities- John 13:35

5- Building Healthy Teams.

6- Strengthening Skills.

I will encourage, you properly reflect on these six traits, see were your strength and weakness fits. Also, develop ways you could improve on your leadership skills as to effectively lead in your specific calling.
