Speak the Word

Speak the Word

Scripture: Genesis 1:1-3(NKJV).

“1- In the beginning God Created the heavens and the earth. 2- The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3- Then God said,” Let there be light” and there was light.

Reflection.

The first day of creation and the seventh day, on which God rested after creating the world, are filled with a wealth of events. For the benefit of those who might be curious or hearing about it for the first time, let me just summarize what happened.

In Genesis 1:1–13, the first three days of creation are described. These have a typical pattern. God first speaks, then creates, names His creation, and finally declares it to be “good.” The days are now numbered. These first three days each set the stage for God to create in the following three days. Day one produces day, night, and light to set the stage for the sun and moon on Day 4. Oceans are formed on day two, setting the stage for sea life on day five. In preparation for animals and humans on day six, day three creates the land and the plants.

Genesis 1 also makes the bare-bones assertion that God created the universe. The chapter unquestionably insists on one thing despite all the disagreements over models and interpretations: God intends to be recognized as the Creator of everything. The chapter develops in a series of patterns and revelations because it was written in the original Hebrew language in accordance with a rigid, poetic structure. The only appropriate response for those who accept these statements is to worship our Creator.

It may interest you to know that three fundamental concepts—creation in six days, man as God’s image, and the Sabbath—are interconnected by the theme of man’s work in the creation narrative found in Genesis 1:1–2:3. Please remember that we are concentrating on verses 1, 2, and 3. But allow me to explain these verses in light of what I know and in relation to our discussion of “how to speak the Word.”

VERSE 1.

It is important to be aware that there are things God wants us to create in our lives, in my opinion, based on this verse. God, for instance, desires that you make TIME for Him this year. I think we are aware of what God means when He refers to “the first fruit” in the statements and commands He gave the children of Israel to follow. I’ll say that God will take care of the other months (July–December) of 2023 if you give Him your time now and in this month of June in prayer and fasting as your “first fruit.”

God also wants us to think about the words PATTERN and SYSTEM. God says that there needs to be a pattern and system to follow; when this is done, your 2023 is assured, and you’ll also save yourself time, effort, and money. Should I say that your pattern is simply the way and manner in which you have chosen to meet with God every day (personal prayer times, personal retreats, consistent church attendance—you name it)? And the way you complete them without supervision is through your system.

VERSE 2.

Until God said, “Let there be light, and there was Light,” in verse 3 His Spirit, which was hovering over the surface of the waters, was powerless to address the darkness of the earth.

Friends, I’ve learned from these verses that having the Holy Spirit in you is not enough if you don’t speak His word consistently and continuously. There will be Light (openings) in all the dark places or areas in your life this year if you open your mouth and start speaking (pray), mention all your goals for 2023 to God, and keep speaking (pray) by faith.

Come on, pals! Let’s stand or kneel wherever we are reading this text right now and start declaring God’s word about your marriage, career, calling, and family. No matter how far you have sunk into your addiction, God loves you and is prepared to deliver you. In the name of Jesus, amen, I encourage you to speak the Word right away.

Prayer.

If you can offer up prayers in the Spirit! Do it immediately! Thank the Lord for these words if you are unable to pray in the Spirit. I accept them with love and have come to realize that everything I hope to accomplish in this life depends on me as I speak your Word repeatedly and consistently. Amen. Please grant me a good pattern and system going forward.

Blessings………….
