The Advantages of Salvation

The Advantages of Salvation

 Scripture: Romans 6:22

KJV: But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

GNT: But now you have been set free from sin and are the slaves of God. Your gain is a life fully dedicated to him, and the result is eternal life.

As a follow-up to yesterday’s discussion, we did discover that! Jesus is the name that predominates all other names in both heaven and earth. This name was greatly elevated by straightforward obedience. You simply couldn’t fathom what Jesus would have gone through to claim the name that is rightfully his. After making all those sacrifices, Jesus has now granted you and I the right to mention His name and cause every knee to bow. Yet we continue to reject him every day, making him feel as though he did nothing.

How would you feel as a parent if your only child, whom you loved dearly, gave his or her life on the cross to pay the price for others? The only thing you would ask his or her friends and loved ones to do in his or her honour would be to acknowledge that your child’s death was necessary for their own sake, but they refused to believe this and continued to look for other means of obtaining freedom. My dear friends, I think that God feels more like you feel as a parent than you ever will when you reject Jesus, the only Son he sent to come and die for us.

Paul has now demonstrated that succumbing to sin results in death. Paul writes, “but now having been set free from sin,” in verse 22. Paul is once more emphasizing the power each Christian must choose when he writes, “But now,” which is in the present tense and refers to the Roman believers as being free from sin and subject to God. liberated from sin, becoming God’s slaves.

But I’m positive that today’s word is special. Yes! It is because of those things that we used to feel ashamed of before salvation, but this is to our advantage now.  This is how I believe it ought to be.

What advantages did you gain from the actions you are now ashamed of at the time? Death results from those things! The benefit you receive leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life, but now that you have been delivered from sin and have been made slaves to God.

What does it mean to be enslaved to God?

The only historically accurate English translation of the Greek word Doulos, which appears in the Bible, is the word slave. Literally, it means to be someone’s property for all time. Therefore, people are either slaves of God, who enjoy eternal life, or slaves of sin, which results in death. Oh, thank God I’m God’s slave as I look forward to the rewards at the end.

Hello, dear friends. By accepting Jesus Christ immediately, you can gain eternal reward by becoming enslaved to God. Anywhere you are, all you have to do to be saved is confess to Him. Gaining everything in this world while losing your soul to eternal damnation is of no use to anyone. Save yourself today by accepting Jesus.

DEAR GOD, thank you for teaching us today and reminding us that we are enslaved to you our creator as it is better to be enslaved by God than the devil. Please, help us to stay focus as we await our benefits at the end in Jesus’ name, Amen.
