Scripture: Mark 6:38-44

Mark 6:38 But He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.”

And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fish.”

Mark 6:39 Then He commanded them to make them all sit down in groups on the green grass.

Mark 6:40 So they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties.

Mark 6:41 And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.

Mark 6:42 So they all ate and were filled.

Mark 6:43 And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish.

Mark 6:44 Now those who had eaten the loaves were about five thousand men.

Hello everyone. It’s a new day and the last installment in this series. Jesus’ power was not like the “show biz” that exists in our generation today. You’ll notice that Jesus did everything He did to honour His Father’s name and out of compassion for the people He saw. As this series comes to an end today, I believe it would be beneficial if there were lessons to be learned from the fundamental scriptures.

More importantly, I questioned how many modern believers could recognize the small victories in life, like your job, career, gifts, talents, or anything else you can think of. Although Jesus only had two fish and five loaves of bread, he did thank His Father for the provision and depended on multiplication with joy in his heart. His compassion and faith also resulted in a great miracle. I’ve learned that no matter what I have or lack now, I should always and forever give thanks to God for my early years and everything. Therefore, growth and multiplication become my reward. Dear Friends, our God is not a God of magic but a God of miracles; all He asks of us is obedience and adherence to the tenets, and you will undoubtedly reap the benefits. Hallelujah!

1- What ever you want to do in life either in ministry, or any circular activity, always start with whatever is available to you, don’t go too far searching for what is not seen. 6:38

2-You should ensure that you are calm, sit down and rethink if what you are about to do is permitted by God. 6:39

3-“He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves,”- always depend on God who provided the source no matter how small it is, bless it and start from that source. Also, talking about breaking of bread, it tells us that when ever you come to God’s presence, you must be “broken”. Brokenness is the key to open Heavens in God’s presence. David said, “a broken and a contrite heart the Lord will not despise”. Ensure you drop all stony hearts at home, be flexible and allow the Holy Spirit to do the work. 6:40-42

4- Finally, do not be wasteful, God does not encourage waste and be wise today to follow same principles. 6:43-44
