Scripture: Ephesians 1:9

“Having made known unto us THE MYSTERY OF HIS WILL., according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself.”

To say the least, understanding God’s will in its entirety is not easy. It’s possible that if you follow the will of God, you’ll come across as odd and weird. If, however, you recognize that the will of God is inherently shrouded in enigma, you won’t be so afraid to approach the perfect will of God.

A thing is said to be mysterious if it possesses odd qualities that are frequently hard to explain. It requires some effort to comprehend, and even then, many people get it wrong. When God reveals His will for a person’s life, people frequently misunderstand Him and believe that He is attempting to bring them down or destroy them to accomplish His will.

They are completely incapable of understanding this wondrous and baffling will of the Lord. Today, I would like for all of us to look at the many different instances in history where it has been a mystery to man what the will of God is. When you come to terms with the fact that the will of God is shrouded in mystery, you will no longer be able to run away from it in fear.

Nevertheless, I would like to present a list of some of the mysterious ways that God operates in the modern world, which we could discuss in greater detail as we proceed with this topic.

  1. The Mystery that forsaking earthly security on God’s instructions can give you security.
  2. The Mystery that doing nothing on God’s instructions can give greater results than doing something.
  3. The Mystery that limiting your ministry to one group of people can cause you to reach all groups of people.
  4. The Mystery that if it is the will of God, you may be more fruitful dead than alive.
  5. The Mystery that losing can lead to gaining.
  6. The Mystery that being last can lead to becoming first.
  7. The Mystery that not seeking wealth can make you acquire wealth.
  8. The Mystery that doing the will of God makes you close to God.
  9. The Mystery that doing the will of God causes you to make other good decision for your life.

Friends, I believe that as we delve deeper into this topic using biblical references, the conversation will become more interesting. If you’re interested in learning more about the items on the list, please come see me tomorrow.

Dear Lord, indeed, your ways are mysterious. We ask that you help us learn in your mysterious ways, Amen.
