The Name above all other names (Jesus)

 Scripture. Philippians 2:9-11

KJV: Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

KJV: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth.

KJV: And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

 REFLECTION:

We are constantly being reminded of God’s work. When things are going well, it is usually simple to accept that God is present and active in our lives today. A happy family, secure finances, and satisfying weekly routines make life good! I’m positive that God is active.

Now, according to Vivian Bricker, a well-known prolific writer said- “Ultimately, when Paul tells us that Jesus is the Name above all names, it means Jesus’ Name is superior, greater, and more powerful than any other name in the world because Jesus is superior, greater, and more powerful than anyone else in the world because He is.”

Knowing that most people—if not everyone—are aware of the significance of a name is quite interesting. Most family names are rarely mentioned in communities, probably because they are unimportant. Other family names, however, have a significance beyond human comprehension when they are mentioned. For instance, if Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, or Joe Biden, the son of the US president, were allegedly detained without knowledge of their identities. Suddenly, someone asked, “Who are you?” I am positively certain that the situation will change if the response is I AM THE SON OF BIDEN OR TRUDEAU. There will probably be an immediate release and freedom with some apologies, and there may be repercussions for the people who made the arrest.

These individuals, though, were merely made in the likeness of God, so if they have such power on earth and a name, how much more the Son of the Highest? Friends, because of obedience, God the Father has exalted His Son, Jesus. Keep in mind that Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection made us the Sons of God. As a result, we have the same power that Jesus did to preach, instruct, and heal. As the sons of Biden and Trudeau would have done had they actually been arrested, I challenge you today to use the authority given to you to mention the name of Jesus and be saved, free from any arrest for sin.

Jesus humbled Himself to the point of dying on a cross because of His obedience to God the Father, His love for people, and His desire to pay the price for their sins. Paul makes a request of the Philippians in this context, asking them to complete his joy. He is speaking from personal experience when he asserts that Christ offers comfort even in trials. He can be strengthened by recalling what Christ has accomplished for him as well as what Christ will accomplish.

Therefore, Jesus’ exaltation signifies that humanity is united to God in God’s glory. Jesus’ ascension serves as a prophecy, a symbol, and the beginning of the fulfillment of our human potential.

Finally, the only way for you to take advantage of this authority is to accept Jesus into your life right away and confess that He is your Lord and Saviour. Wow! You could do it right away, and He gave the ability to become God’s Sons and Daughters to as many as received Him (John 1:12).

 Prayer.

I DECREE AND DECLARE THAT WHAT EVER KNEE AGAINST YOUR (HEALTH, JOY, FAMILY, MINISTRY, CAREER, ETC…name it) MUST BOW TO THE NAME ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME (JESUS) NOW AND EVER, LET THAT KNEE CONFESS THE NAME OF JESUS NOW,IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

God Bless you…………
