THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST-The Words and the blood of Jesus Christ

Scripture: John 6:55-57

55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. 56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the father: so, he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

Once more, welcome to a new year. There were undoubtedly a lot of memorable experiences from last year, both good and bad. And thanks to God’s mercies, we all managed to overcome those obstacles and successfully enter a new year, all to the glory of our good Lord. I would like to start this year, 2024, by sharing a few lessons I have learned from God’s Word and from God-servants. I have made the decision to study their teachings and voluntarily adhere to them as they adhere to Christ. Bishop Dag Heward-Mills is one of my mentors in the ministry. And I’ll be discussing his writing experience on spiritual books that are pertinent to edifying the body of Christ.

Jesus Christ is a great source of wisdom. There’s a lot about Jesus Christ that we can research! We could research His family, accomplishments, ministry, travels, objectives, and style of leadership. However, the words and the blood of Jesus Christ are what matter most.

Precious Words
Jesus’ teachings are crucial because they impart to us God’s wisdom and truths.

Placing Jesus’ words above all others is sufficient.

In the past, Scripture was randomly mixed with the lovely words of Christ. The words of Jesus are given the respect and dignity they deserve in modern Bibles. The words of Jesus are set apart in red-letter bibles, a class unto themselves.

Men concentrated on Christ’s work at Calvary during the church’s Reformation period.

Precious Blood
The words of Jesus cannot cleanse us of our sins. For our names to be recorded in the Book of Life, we must be cleansed of our sin and wretchedness by the blood of Jesus. No matter how much Jesus preached, taught, or spoke, He still needed to use the power of His blood to save us. Sins cannot be forgiven if there is not bloodshed! Blood had to be spilled in order to atone for our transgressions.

It is true that Jesus Christ’s teachings contain both the wisdom and the preaching of God. However, who would cover our sins? Who would foot the bill to get us out of this hell? By virtue of Jesus Christ’s blood, we are redeemed, or bought back. Jesus’ blood, not his words, is what redeemed us. Jesus’ blood, not the blood of goats and bulls, was used to redeem us.

The Words of Jesus
If Jesus had not said these well-known words, we would not be aware that He is the way, the truth, and the life. If Jesus had not told us that God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son and that anyone who believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life, then salvation would not have been possible for us. Furthermore, that God sent the Son into the world so that it might be saved through Him rather than so that He might judge it.

Even though Jesus’ blood has cleansed us, it is through his well-known words that we learn about God and the path to salvation. Jesus said, “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. If Jesus had not said, “Come to Me, all you who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest,” we would not have known where to go or what to do. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. It is through the comprehensive package of the blood of Jesus and the words of Jesus that salvation has come to men.

In summary, Jesus’ teachings are significant because they help us comprehend salvation and develop wisdom. However, the significance of His blood is increased because wisdom does not guarantee salvation! However, when we comprehend the world and God’s wisdom, we are not saved.  We are only saved when the blood of Jesus washes away our sins. This theme/topic, in my opinion, will enable us to comprehend the power that is contained in Jesus’ blood whenever we speak of Him.

Please, join me tomorrow as we take a tour of “why the blood of Jesus is precious blood?”

Dear Lord! I believe in the power of your blood. May I learn to grow more and more in knowing about your Words and Blood and through these teachings, amen.
