UNDERSTANDING HOW PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD

UNDERSTANDING HOW PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD

Scripture: Ephesians 5:17 (NASB)

“So then do not be foolish but UNDERSTAND what the will of the Lord is.”

REFLECTION.

I will be sharing today, and according to Bishop Dag Heward-Mills, seven reasons in understanding how people enter the imperfect will of God.

  1. PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD BY NOT ACCURATELY HEARING THE VOICE OF GOD- 1 Samuel 3:7

It is essential to have the ability to listen to what God has to say. If you are unable to recognize when God is speaking to you, then you are in for some serious trouble. Because of this, developing the skill of hearing God’s voice is essential to your continued existence. If you want to be in the perfect will of God, you won’t be able to do so until you’ve developed your ability to hear. According to Dag Heward-Mills, many individuals are in the imperfect will of God because they do not and are unable to hear when God speaks.

  • PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD BECAUSE GOD ALLOWS MEN TO HAVE A FREE WILL- John 1:2

It is critical to have the ability to understand what God is saying to you. If you are unable to recognize when God has spoken, then you are going to find yourself in a lot of trouble. Learning how to discern the voice of God is therefore essential to your continued existence. You won’t be able to be in the perfect will of God until you’ve developed your ability to hear him clearly. Dag Heward-Mills says that a great number of people are in the imperfect will of God because they do not and cannot hear when God speaks.

  • PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BE LIKE OTHERS- 1 Samuel 8:4-5

One of the most perilous desires that a man of God or any other believer can have been the desire to be like other people. Your desire to fit in with other people will cause you to disobey God and go against His will. In John 5:41, Jesus is quoted as saying, “I receive no honour from men.”

  • PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD BECAUSE THEY ARE PRESUMPTUOUS- 2 Chronicles 26:16-20
  • PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD BY RESTING TOO QUICKLY- 2 Samuel 11:1 “but David tarried still at Jerusalem.”
  • PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD BECAUSE OF THEIR IMPATIENCE- Exodus 32:1

You will produce much fruit for the Lord if you wait patiently for the will of God to be revealed to you. If the people had been more patient and waited for Moses to come down from the mountain, they never would have experienced the wilderness phase of their lives that lasted for forty years.

  • PEOPLE ENTER THE IMPERFECT WILL OF GOD BECAUSE OF HUMAN MANIPULATION- Genesis 16:2

It is not simple to put one’s faith in God. We frequently wrestle with the desire to act in an effort to affect positive change. There is no one wiser than God. You are required to have faith in God and trust that everything will turn out for the best.
