Waiting Through Storms of Life-Benefits of Fasting

Scripture: Isaiah 40:31

““they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” KJV

We’ve been discussing this for a few days, and I’m sure we’ve each learned something new about how to endure life’s storms. We have also learned from earlier teachings about how to maintain your faith. I’ll be talking about the advantages of fasting today.

Five Benefits of Fasting

1- Fasting changes us, it does not change God.

Our spirits are raised when we fast. It is crucial that we are aware of how to fast and pray. I simply agree with the perspectives of the many Christians who have different knowledge of fasting. However, I’m referring to the type of fasting that Jesus practised in a deserted location without food or water. like the eagle moves quickly when her wings are weak, and she needs to build them back up.

2- Fasting Moves you into better positioning.

When an eagle’s wing is weak, a certain disposition develops that causes it to yearn for strength and to return to its normal position. Even though we are aware of our lack of spiritual strength, I wonder why believers do not practice the act of waiting on God to strengthen us. In actuality, that is when the devil strikes. To reclaim a more advantageous position, I implore you to practice waiting on God.

3- Fasting increases your Spiritual capacity.

Fasting is like a water pipe that is connected to a large water tank in your house. Since this pipe hasn’t been cleaned in a while, there is some debris and dirt inside, and it keeps getting smaller. The pipe is large, but the hole is small because it has been ruined by rust and other things. The tank still holds the same amount of water, but due to the debris and rust, the amount you receive is less than you anticipated. And if you’re not careful, you’ll seal up that gap entirely.

I wonder if there are any readers of this message who are experiencing spiritual blockages. God says He wants to use you to solve that issue in your home or community, but He can’t do so because you are blocked.

When you fast, you stop clogging and let purity consume the debris. As a result, your capacity returns to its full potential. In fact, the power of God’s presence is so strong within you that whenever you turn on your pipe, it will operate at its full potential. You lack power because you consume too much food and spend too much time online on sites like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media.

4- Fasting breaks habits of Spiritual bondage.

My coworkers’ friend has asked me to pray for him to give up smoking. Guess what, when I told him that we needed to fast together, he agreed. As a result, the habits disappeared naturally or rather gradually.

5- Fasting quits the heart.

This can only be achieved through personal retreats and alone with God.

These lessons, I hope, have helped you grow. Please read them repeatedly so that you can put them to good use.

It is necessary to fast and pray, dear Lord. Help us to practice the acts of fasting and prayer that are necessary for a vibrant Christian life, just as you did before you started your ministry. So, help us oh! Lord.
