Theme Scripture: Revelation 1,2 AND 3.

I have an interesting and informative theme/topic to share with us this week on “how God monitors your works?” Also, what he says about the seven churches from the book of revelation.

God never said He was keeping an eye on your cars and houses. Yet Christians today are engrossed in numerous activities to create more treasures for themselves. Most of these things have no eternal value. We assess people by their clothes and jewelry. We assess people by their homes. We assess people by the cars they drive. But Jesus said, “You shall know them by their fruits.” Jesus did not say you shall know them by their car or their homes.

God is not against these things but that is not what God is monitoring. God’s eyes are on your works! God is watching the labour and effort that you are putting in for the sake of His Kingdom. If you do not have any such “works”, eternity will hold the greatest shock for your life! You will notice from the scriptures above that the phrase, “I know your works” is mentioned repeatedly.

Every one of the seven churches in the book of Revelation is told the same thing. God knows the works you have done! God is watching your works! God has His eye on the things you are doing for His kingdom!

The letters to the seven churches serve as a revelation of our future judgement when we stand before God. We now know what we will be assessed about. This is the best “past question” that we could ever have.

However! I will be sharing some scriptures and thoughts from the book of Revelation this week tagged; “THE SEVEN CHURCHES “. I believe this teaching will help us understand who and where we are as a church of Jesus Christ. I also believe it’s an individual/group thought as we look at the word “Church” as a Body, Soul, and Spirit.

I shared these thoughts sometime last year via my daily digest post. Moreso, God has put in my heart to share again from these thoughts about the Church and it is imperative that the church listens to what the Spirit of God is saying at this trying times and end times according to the book in Revelations.

More specifically, I’m privileged to read an interesting book written by my biological father who happens to be a Pastor ever since I knew him as my dad growing up. The book is titled- “Living Church and Dying or Dead Church in Contemporary Society by Pastor Benson B.S Bob-Manuel. More importantly, I would be sharing some important points he mentioned with scriptures as we delve more into this awesome theme. As a matter of fact, he said from one of his quotes- “The church is a place of fellowship where believers gather to share things in common with God and with one another. During fellowship, believers share their sorrow, joy, and comfort one another in the church, believers are committed to one another spiritually, physically, and emotionally through prayer, teaching, welfare, and communion.” Pastor B.S Bob-Manuel-Living Church and Dying or Dead Church in Contemporary Society. January 2022.

However, I will leave you with these words to reflect upon. “The Church is not the building, but it’s all about you and I as a person to be considered as a Church.” In essence, I would want you to personalize the church as it refers to you and I which begins from our hearts and throughout this teaching.

Therefore, make your church(heart) personal as you serve God.

We shall continue with this theme tomorrow. Please, do not forget to read over the theme scriptures for proper understanding (see scripture above).

Thank you, Lord, for this teaching. Help us to learn according to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
