Your Test Result

Scripture: 1 Peter 1:7

KJV: “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:”

NIV: These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith —of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire —may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Let’s examine what the website has to say about today’s verse: “In verse 6, Peter writes that as Christians, we rejoice. This is a response to God’s great mercy and our great hope of eternal life in heaven and resurrection. In fact, despite our feelings of grief or distress over the trials we currently face, we still rejoice.

Peter draws comparisons and contrasts between our faith and the traditional measure of value: gold. Similar to how heat from our trials purifies and refines gold, so does it for our faith. The value of our faith will endure into eternity, unlike that of earthly gold.

Peter also claims that when Jesus Christ is revealed, our faith will give us the chance to take part in giving and receiving praise, glory, and honour. Our faith in Christ will be fully upheld when He returns and everyone realizes the truth, and He will be hailed as the real Lord and King.

More specifically, i could imagine how many of God’s faithful (believers) might have made statements as the following:

1- God is faithful!

2- Oh Lord, please, use me!

3- Dear Lord, I need a next level in life.

I could go on and on but let me use those three examples for the purpose of this topic. Yes! I have made those statements over and over and over in my life so far and had results come out of those statements. And I’ll say it 100% certain that indeed! MY GOD IS FAITHFUL!

One thing I’ve learned from my years of service with God is that whenever you say something like that, be prepared for a “TEST” because God will never trust a man He hasn’t put to the test. Remember that Jesus should be put to the test by God the Father. According to the Bible, Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted by the Holy Spirit. Friends, it makes sense why Jesus felt so empowered considering the test’s outcome.

First of all, a trial is a temptation or an adversity that, when overcome, shows the value of one’s faith. (II Timothy 2:1) Before God, the ultimate judge, your faith is put on trial to demonstrate whether it is true or false.

Excellent friends, regarding your faith in Christ Jesus, I have good news to share with you today. Many of us have faced challenges in the past and have triumphed thanks to the blood of the lamb and the words of our testimonies. I want you to know that the devil never sleeps; instead, his mission is to keep trying to destroy your faith in Christ Jesus and with fire until you give up. And for those who haven’t been tested yet, get ready for the test at any time or day. God says, “I am with you always. Do not be afraid.”

The test result is the good news I have to share with you. Please allow me to conclude here because so many of us might agree with me that when Jesus Christ is revealed, the outcome always comes in praise, glory, and honour. This is my sincere prayer for everyone who perseveres to the end, no matter how difficult the trials become.
